In 2020, we were tasked with designing and developing a new website interface and CMS for The Royal Meteorological Society’s (RMetS) Metlink Teaching materials website.

UPPERCASE Media is a UK-based design and technology agency that specialises in creating innovative and engaging digital experiences. In 2020, they were tasked with designing and developing a new website interface and CMS for The Royal Meteorological Society’s (RMetS) Metlink Teaching materials website. The goal of this project was to modernise the existing website, improve its usability, and enhance the overall user experience.

The new website interface designed by UPPERCASE Media is contemporary, clean, and user-friendly. The design is focused on creating a consistent and coherent visual language that guides users through the website, making it easy to navigate and find relevant information. The website is built using the latest web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, to ensure a fast and responsive experience for users on all devices.

The new CMS created by UPPERCASE Media is a custom-built solution that is tailored to the specific needs of the RMetS Metlink Teaching materials website. It allows the RMetS team to easily update and manage content on the website, ensuring that the information is always up-to-date and relevant. The CMS is also designed to be user-friendly, making it easy for the RMetS team to add new content, modify existing content, and manage website settings.

One of the key challenges of the project was to create a website that would appeal to a wide range of users, from primary school students to secondary school teachers. To achieve this, UPPERCASE Media worked closely with the RMetS team to understand their target audience and design a website that would meet their needs. The new website includes a range of interactive features, including videos, animations, and quizzes, that are designed to engage and educate users.

Overall, the new website interface and CMS created by UPPERCASE Media for The Royal Meteorological Society’s Metlink Teaching materials website is a significant improvement over the previous website. The website is modern, user-friendly, and engaging, making it an effective tool for educating and inspiring the next generation of weather and climate scientists.
